Silent Stories

Kirsty worked with three Bristol artists (MARIA, Mina Jaff and 1990s Chris) on a second commission for St George’s Bristol, funded by the Gibbs Trust.

This culminated in a performance in October 2022 entitled ‘Silent Stories’, through which the artists explored the unspoken, traumatic and surreal experiences that have shaped their lives.

Audience members called the evening ‘breathtaking’, ‘lyrical’ and ‘emotive’.

St George’s ‘Rebel Music’ series

In February 2022, Kirsty was selected to work with former Bristol City Poet Vanessa Kisuule and four other emerging artists.

In collaboration with the phenomenal musician Bellatrix, the group created a new spoken word piece for performance at St George’s - Bristol’s world class independent music venue.

“It was brilliant - rich and full of unexpected directions, really powerful and intimate.”
